Soyuz MS-22 is slated to launch atop a Soyuz 2.1a rocket from Baikonur Cosmodrome with three new International Space Station crewmembers.
Aboard will be Russian cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin, as well as NASA astronaut Frank Rubio.
Rubio is the first astronaut to fly in Soyuz as part of a commercial crew vehicle seat exchange, allowing Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina to fly in SpaceX’s Crew-5 Dragon.
The Soyuz MS-22 trio are expected to arrive at the ISS several hours later, docking with the Rassvet module. They will remain aboard until late March 2023.
