Russia is launching Soyuz MS-26 with three people to the International Space Station for a six-months mission. Launch is set to occur atop a Soyuz 2.1a rocket from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Aboard will be Russian cosmonauts Aleksey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner, and NASA astronaut Donald Pettit. They dock to the Rassvet module several hours after launch and join the Expedition 71 crew.
Soyuz MS-26 is expected to remain aboard the ISS until March 2025.
